At the Cranbrook & Sissinghurst Parish Council Meeting last night, Councillors voted 9 for with 5 against, in supporting the Village Green application for "The Cranbrook School War Memorial Playing Field”. 

The largest attendance by local residents at a Parish Meeting in many years witnessed the strength of feeling for this "Memorial” field to remain as a sports playing field in perpetuity.

Several speakers spoke from the community, the Trustees and the Head Teacher at Cranbrook School. Calls were made from the public for a new spirit of cooperation between the School and the Community..
