Help Save The Cranbrook School War Memorial Playing Field from being developed

Cranbrook's notional "Village Green" and "Memorial Field" could be lost forever to commercial development

Latest News - February 2013

We have been notified that the Regulation Committee Member Panel will convene on Tuesday, 5 March 2013 at 12.30 pm at Staplehurst Village Centre, High Street, Staplehurst TN12 OBJ. To Consider the APPLICATION TO REGISTER LAND KNOWN AS RAMMELL FIELD AT CRANBROOK AS A NEW VILLAGE GREEN

The Panel Members will be visiting the site of the application at 11.15 am on the day of the meeting. The purpose of this visit will be to enable Members of the Panel to familiarise themselves with the site. They will not be debating the merits of the application at that stage.

As with the public meeting we held last year in Cranbrook's Village Hall it would be helpful to have village green application supporters attend the Panel Member's site visit and the meeting itself to respectfully show the strength of feeling against commercial development of the Rammell Field

Fantastic News for the Community of Cranbrook - April 2012

At the Cranbrook & Sissinghurst Parish Council Meeting April 12th, Councillors voted 9 for with 5 against in supporting the Village Green application for “The Cranbrook School War Memorial Playing Field”.  The largest attendance by local residents at a Parish Meeting in many years witnessed the strength of feeling for this “Memorial” field to remain as a sports playing field in perpetuity.  Several speakers spoke from the community, the Trustees and also the Head Teacher at Cranbrook School. Calls were made from the public for a new spirit of cooperation between the School and the Community.
