This petition is in aid of our protest against the building of houses on The Cranbrook School War Memorial Playing Field in Cranbrook, Kent.


This is a Memorial Field in Cranbrook which the trustees have duty to protect it. The War Memorial Scheme which was initially in aid of building a Chapel in Memory of the 55 Cranbrookians who lost their lives and the further 250 Cranbrookians who served in the Great War.


The Field was intended to be a playing field for Cranbrook School for Eternity and should remain as it was intended.

It must remain as a sports and amenity field for the school and the Cranbrook local community in perpetuity. I also support the application for this field to be designated as a "Village Green".'
